Bowfishing Louisiana

​Minutes from New Orleans bowfishing charters last approximately 4-5 hours. Each trip requires a minimum of Four people and can accommodate up to six people. Nawlins Bowfishing also have multiple boats if needed to accommodate large parties.

A Louisiana fishing license is required for every attendee over the age of 16. These licenses can be purchased online or at a local sporting good store such as Academy Sports or Wal-mart. The cost of the license for a Louisiana resident is 22$. An out of state 3 day license can be purchased for the cost of 10$.

Anyone under the age of 16 must wear a lifejacket at all times, if small children are in attendance a life preserver must be provided by a guardian. If you do fall off the boat stay calm and just stand up we are often only in inches of water.

LOCATION

Location of the charter may differ depending on weather tidal flow or fish location. Most of the  time we leave out of Hopedale Marina. We Strongly suggest arriving 30 minutes before appointed departure so that we can handle any unforeseen issues that mat arise. WEATHER

Weather condition can really effect the outcome of your trip. While we strive to make sure we can accommodate your needs we also feel that it is our duty to ensure that you have the best trip possible. For that reason our captains have the authority to reschedule your trip due to unsafe or unfavorable weather conditions. We will work with you to find a time that best suites your needs. Once we are on the water if conditions become unsafe and the captains decide to cancel the trip you will only be responsible for your deposit.

ATTIRE

We recommend wearing a pair of loose fitting blue jeans and thin long sleeve shirt. If it under 80 degrees during the day we recommend to bring a light jacket as it will be cooler out on the water. Open toe shoes/crocs are not recommended attendees should wear tennis shoes with good grip. Weather can quickly change in the Louisiana Marsh. So please come prepared with a rain jacket or a dry pair of clothes to be left in your vehicle.

Our Rules

Safety is the most important thing on our trips. Bows and arrows are dangerous if not used properly. Always keep the arrow pointed down and not anywhere else. All arrows must be unstrung while the boat is in motion.

You are NOT allowed to shoot at stingrays, alligators, ducks or bass. Please remember that redfish must be over 16’ in order to keep so if the fish looks to small please do not take a shot at it.

Unruly conduct on the boat ill not be tolerated and the captain has a right to sit any guest down and stop them from fishing. If the trip must be cancelled no refund will be given.
